Coaching Styles Test
The Coaching Styles Test is based on John Heron's model, which identifies 6 intervention dimensions in coaching.
The 6 Heron Dimensions
- Prescribe: Give advice, directions, propose solutions
- Inform: Share knowledge, explain, teach
- Confront: Challenge, address contradictions, question beliefs
- Support: Provide emotional support, encourage, validate
- Explore: Question to bring out insights, guide reflection
- Release: Create silence, leave space, allow integration
How does it work?
The test presents you with 45 coaching sequences. For each one, you indicate your comfort level (from 1 to 6). The test takes about 15 minutes.
Interpreting your results
After the test, you get:
- A radar chart showing your profile across the 6 dimensions
- A detailed analysis of your dominant style
- Recommendations to balance your practice
